Look forward to seeing you all when the new season starts in September 19

The Jimmy Greaves way to play the game was always with style and with fun at the foundation of everything he did. And that is the creed we are following at our Academy … football played properly but with a fun element

There are other coaching academies and football clinics in our catchment area, and while respecting what they are doing we at the Jimmy Greaves Football Academy think we can give young footballers a better grounding in the game. We will concentrate as much on encouraging the right attitude as ability.

The young players will be introduced to the three As: Attitude, Ability, Achievement. We will motivate them to show pride in their performance, their appearance and their temperament. We will be as much about building character as football skills.

It is important for you to realise that – unlike other academies, several of which are run by professional clubs – we are not a franchise and therefore have full control of our coaching sessions and academy.

We can place boys and girls who are good enough at any professional club with which we have strong contacts. They will have the benefit of being coached by ex-professional footballers who have a minimum of a UEFA B/Level 3 coaching qualification. Our coaches will have experience in coaching all age groups and at different levels.

You will not find us playing the numbers game. with crowded sessions in which players do not get the individual attention they require. You need to know that places will be limited, because our objective is to give a greater opportunity for the players to get much more out of their coaching sessions.

We will, of course, be pitching our players on a regular basis against other professional and non-professional academies. Our aim is to make your child the best player that he or she can be, and to play at the highest level possible. And all the time having fun.We want all our youngsters to enjoy themselves. Football should be a joy, not a chore. That was the way my Dad, Jimmy Greaves, always approached it.

Please have a look at our first class training facility and we hope to see you and your children at the new Academy. Our promise: it will be fun.

Where would you like to go?
